Wind Erosion Song

Wind erosion take you away
Not the toughest factor of all I say
But if the soil is dry and right
Then it’s the wind the ground can’t fight
Defined by the blowouts that strike its course
Make bowl like shapes due to its force
But only the water table can stop
The sand’s levels from continuing their drop
Desert pavement a different story
Built up on silt by the wind’s glory
Not uncovered by harsh time
But built up on sifted pebbles fine.
X 1 Chorus
The first real event to give the wind its name
Was the Dust Bowl an unhappy fame
Drove hundreds of people out of the game
Because their crops were dry, no vegetation to stay
But if you know the reasons for this 1930’s blast
Then you know its cause there wadn’t no rain to keep the soil cast
Unglued and seer by over farming of the years
And a drought just caused a new band fears.
But that’s not the only feature that stacks
The last ones would be Yardangs and Ventifacts
Just more landforms caused by its force
More inspiration for this chorus.
Wind…
