- Radioactivity
- the energy and subatomic particles released as one element transforms into another due to changes in the number of protons and neutrons.
- Isotopes - atoms of the same element with the same number of protons, but a different number of neutrons
- Radioactive decay - a change in the number of protons, neutrons, or both that transforms an unstable isotope towards a stable one
