4.3 Where do igneous rocks appear in a landscape?
- Volcanic rocks in the landscape
- Volcanic neck: the residual "core" of magma in a volcano's neck (actually more of an intrusive body)
- Lava domes: a "mound" of lava that did not flow
- Pyroclastic deposits: ash, pumice, lapilli, bombs, may form deposits such as welded tuff

Rhyolitic ash fused when hot into a consolidated mass of tuff.
