Here the exposed beach lines along Hudson Bay lend credence to the flexural isostasy model. As the region continues to uplift, the former beaches are left high and dry. Per isotopic dating, the oldest beaches
in the photo are around 8000 years old. As sea levels have risen over the past 21,000 years since the retreat of the glaciers (which added considerable water to ocean systems), the only reasonable explanation is that the region is rising.
